Today, my sweet Pretty Boy has passed away. In 2020, I walked into a humane society to play with some cats, and this big fluffy guy plopped into my hands. I was told he was a senior cat, that was rescued from a home that was overran with animals and neglect. He was FIV positive and I was told due to his age and condition, if I didn’t adopt him they would be euthanizing him that week. I took him home and immediately he was the most loving sweet boy. Would aggressively cuddle you. Loved shrimp, sunbathing and occasionally giving my pug, Herman, attitude. Due to his illness, over the last year he began to decline pretty rapidly. During the process we kept him very happy, well fed and living his best life he could. Between @itsjamiewtf carrying him as a purse, him being probably the only cat my dad ever loved, cuddling with @ZacharyWentz while I was gone, aggressively headbutting me for pets, or “accidentally” falling sleep next to the pug, he was so loved by everyone who encountered him, and loved everyone back. Rest peacefully my sweet Pretty Boy, in cat heaven with all of the fishy treats and sunshine. I love you. 🖤
