One of my favorite consistent themes in Tolkien's works, is how the most heroic, brave and truly good characters, are the most "ordinary" ones. Sam is a humble gardener, a Hobbit who'd never left the Shire before this, and yet he's the most heroic character in the whole trilogy.

We all have Sam in our hearts. We just need to unbury him and listen more closely. (yes, I totally realize how dorky this sounded and I stand by my silly dorkiness).

Sam is the real hero. Without him, we are all bound in the darkness, in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

“There’s some good in this world, Mister Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.” Incredible words, even better delivery.

I have it tattooed … Sean Austin did such a good job and that speech is a perfect representation of depression and anxiety

Sam said “we shouldn’t even be here” That’s because Frodo and Sam never went to Osgiliath in the book
