In two days, it will be fifteen years since we came to Osogbo to assume the reins of government, and to this day, even after we left seven years ago, the people have never stopped appreciating the work we did and the impact it had on their lives. When the ADC returns to power, we will do even more. Do not forget that when we left office, Osun had the LOWEST CRIME RATE, the 2nd LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, and the LOWEST POVERTY RATE in the country. This was made possible by our vision of a people-friendly government, the cooperation and sacrifices of our workers, and the hard work of our people, who remained productive because government was not politicised. Today, local government administration has ground to a halt due to the destructive politicking of the governments in power. When the wicked rule, the people suffer. The UPA government made a huge effort to shield the people of India from the adverse impact of rising prices by providing subsidies. However, when the Modi government came to power, crude oil prices had dropped dramatically. When global crude oil prices fell from 2014 onwards, the Modi government did not pass the benefit on to the citizens. Now that prices have increased, the government wants ordinary citizens to bear the burden. The Modi government took that money and used it for funding, just as it uses funds from the RBI and dividends from other companies to balance its finances. Why are you burdening the people of India at a time like this, when they cannot afford to pay that extra amount? I find it hard to articulate the immeasurable damage done by a President who was elected to office to serve ALL the American people. Despicably, he chose not to serve the people, but to embark upon a journey of personal enrichment and tax cuts for his rich friends. He was and remains the antithesis of an American President. He sullied the reputation of the greatest power on earth, by making America the butt of cruel but justified jokes. Leaders of democratic nations did not trust or respect him, while America’s enemies queued up to massage his ego and exploit his narcissism for their own gain. His lust for attention and inability to form coherent sentences had the world rolling it’s eyes. When his moment came to prove he cared for the American people, his gross incompetence led to the unnecessary death of hundreds of thousands of those he was elected to protect. To put the icing on the dystopian cake, he refused to honor the will of the American people and incited an insurrection to remain in power. He was, is and will remain a clear and present danger to America until the cancer that he is, is removed from the political conversation.
