These are all cooked up stories. I have heard 3 stories like this in last 7-8 years !

Brute force is an option only on paper. If a wallet file exists and the password is weak or partially known, recovery may be possible. For strong passwords protecting 7,002 BTC, brute force is computationally infeasible. Bitcoin security breaks at humans, not math.
