Non tariff barriers really like an infinite tariff. And so there's that kind of turf going on now, but they're big. They're going to be a good, big economy, 10-15, whatever, years from now.”

I wish Gasparino was sitting here to explain to Jesse how tariffs work because it is a tax on the consumer. You see headlines like Walmart raising prices up to 51%. They’re doing that because they are not going to eat the tariffs. They are going to pass it to you.

But even with that said, even with the caveat that it's going to benefit American farmers and obviously benefit the people of Iran, we want both. But fundamentally, that money is not going to be unfrozen unless we continue to see progress. And that will obviously be a big part of the negotiation in the days to come.

And if he thinks he's going to get out of it by escalating, it's probably going to cost a lot more American lives. And it's going to be even harder to get back to the negotiating table. Unless we want to go to war with Iran every 3 or 4 years, then he's got to have a plan to bring this to a conclusion that's more than just a military action to take out some percentage of their launchers, that they're just going to rebuild anyway.
