I’m not Afrikaans but have lived very closely with them. They are worth their weight in gold. They will house and feed you. They will share their socks with you no matter who you are. One of the few nations on earth that hold each other to account and pride themselves on morals.

This man speaks truth, I remember watching Zimbabwe, it’s almost a mirror image, Mugabe doing exactly what Ramaphosa is doing same rhetoric, this land thing is not about the government taking your land, the masses on the ground will start taking the land, it happened in Zim exactly the same. The army and government did nothing the masses did all the taking and looting like it was free for all…..

As a proud American immigrated from South Africa, born to Rhodesian parents that lost it all in 1979, I can assure you that USA is the land of freedom and opportunity! Europe and Australia once welcomed SAs, but the best, USA, has been saved for last. We have many proud ex SAs (and Rhodies) here. We even have restaurants and shops with the things you will miss the most. Unfortunately we need better pies, biltong and wors, (and Bovril is not allowed to be imported), but pronutro, marmite, cream soda and stuff like that for treats can be found here. Hopefully the light will finally remove the stigma associated with being South African. I’ve personally experienced some animosity toward me for being South African, but maybe with X, we can be proud again.
