Sandie Peggie may have won her central case against NHS Fife but the ruling was seriously flawed. For instance the tribunal ruled that it was ok for biological males to use women-only changing rooms, even though this goes against April's Supreme Court ruling. That is why I fully support her decision to appeal it. But one must not forget that all of this stems from SNP's embrace of reckless self-ID and gender ideology. John Swinney must ensure that all public bodies follow the law adhere to the Supreme Court's ruling. #WomenWontWheest #WomenWontWait #IStandbySandiePeggie

When Sandie and I first met ALBA Party were the only Party willing to defend women’s sex-based rights. Now not a single Fife MP’s Party does and that is a disgrace. I’m so glad I was able to put her in touch with the support she deserved. How many women or gender critical men have had to suffer in the workplace as a result of gender ideology capture? At last BBC Scotland News are covering this issue and giving her case against NHS Fife prominent coverage. This case will matter to women across Scotland and beyond. Today marks the first anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling which clarified that the terms ‘sex’, ‘woman’ and ‘man’ in the Equality Act refer to biological sex, biological woman and biological man. This landmark judgment vindicated countless men and women who were silenced or shut down for expressing the lawfully held, gender-critical view that women are adult human females. While the Government’s Women and Equalities Minister, Bridget Phillipson, claimed this week that the Government has always defended single-sex spaces, where was their support for women like Sandie Peggie, Jennifer Melle and the Darlington nurses? Gender-critical cases remain the single largest category of cases we deal with at the Free Speech Union. Following Maya Forstater’s victory in 2021, and now this Supreme Court ruling, there is no excuse for discriminating against people who express gender-critical views. The government's tardiness in publishing the Equality and Human Rights Commission code on single-sex spaces makes them complicit in enabling service providers to act unlawfully. These failures are always at the expense of women - for example Miranda Newsom, who was barred from a leisure centre because she didn't want to share a female changing room with a man. Oh, and I was a bit overawed as s-heros Sandie Peggie, Jennifer Melle and the victorious Darlington Nurses were in the Lords' gallery.

A year on from the Supreme Court ruling, trans people have faced a wave of exclusions at work, in sports clubs and in everyday public life. Gender-critical activists have also been emboldened to drag inclusive organisations through the courts. The government must scrap the EHRC’s guidance and legislate that all single-sex spaces are trans-inclusive by default. A clip from my speech in this year's LGBTQ+ History Month debate in Parliament:

[WATCH] Before I was SG I once said things about Nkosazana which I withdrew, publicly and I apologised. I said she is JZ wife. It was wrong for me to say that and I apologised to the NEC and to her. Because my mother in her grave would never allow me to say such things, I should have never judged Mam Nkosazana and her track record on the basis of her being Jacob Zumas wife. It was wrong to say that about a veteran of our movement. So we all say things but we must reflect and apologise. I hold her in high regard but I will never allow anyone to say things about me that I did not do such as dishing out money. #RegisterToVoteANC #LGE2026

Pleased to see NHS England Board asked publicly about implementing the Supreme Court ruling—only for Duncan Barton’s response to drift past legal accuracy unchallenged. A masterclass in performative listening & delay tactics ▫️NHS England continues to “assess” whether its policies align with the ruling, despite repeated indications from staff and others that they do not. This lack of alignment has been confirmed by the Supreme Court and multiple tribunals ▫️Wes Streeting, NHS England does not need to wait for EHRC guidance to comply with the law. The Supreme Court has already clarified the legal position, and NHS England should update its policies accordingly and provide reassurance to its workforce. This senior NHS employee will know the EHRC have told services they are responsible for ensuring compliance NOW❕but is pretending otherwise to the board, staff and the general public. This disingenuous behaviour degrades trust and respect for the NHS Sex, the 1️⃣ protected characteristic which has been so poorly served by Board Executives across the NHS should finally be considered as equal. We look forward to NHS England inviting us to contribute to the EHRC implementation planning

Life & Health Insurance are a necessity, not a luxury. Every Indian must be protected. I, along with many others, had raised the demand for 0% GST on Life & Health Insurance products, and I am glad this burden has finally been removed. Now, more and more people should be encouraged to get insurance cover. Life’s uncertainties should never wipe out a family’s lifelong savings. At the same time, the Government must also ensure that premiums remain affordable, so that maximum people can benefit from this protection.

Currently, Floridians have to pay a fee to the government just to be able to keep their home. This is wrong. I agree with the Governor that we should eliminate homestead property taxes. We also must ensure key local government services are fully-funded and remain operational.
