Mahmud of Ghazni invaded India. Then, almost 150 years later, came Muhammad Ghori. What happened in between? Your history textbook probably never told you. Sanjeev Sanyal points to the Battle of Bahraich and Suheldev, where an invading force suffered a crushing defeat. We were taught about the invasions. Why were we not taught about the resistance? Sanjeev Sanyal

Bengali maku dressed as some baba, saying having meat in puja premises is fine. He says puja is not religious festival but “ananda utsav” like some concert show, and every religious group gets to be part of it. He claims that bengalis feed durga maa fish and meat? And he always uses “durga utsav” not puja for those 10 days.

Nobody talks about Dhubri's Durga Puja and honestly that's a crime . Assam's best kept ‘pandal secret’ , insane artistry, next level energy. Got the pre Puja buzz today and I'm hyped already. Add Dhubri to your offbeat Puja-hopping list. Trust me.

#WATCH | Delhi | On the extended time limit for loudspeakers in the National Capital, CM Rekha Gupta says, "I always noticed that our Hindu festivals face difficulties, because Ramlila or Durga Puja can never end at 10 pm. When Dandiya can go on all night in Gujarat, when events can happen all night in other states, then why can't the same be for the people of Delhi? So this time we've given permission to all Ramlilas, Durga Pujas, and cultural-religious festivals to continue until 12 am..."
