Right. Those were the days when conservative, law-abiding Constitutionalist Republicans (and some Dems, too) were still running CA. You all know what happened from the time of Jerry Brown and forward. The last great CA governor was Ronald Reagan who left office in 1975.

Santa Monica and Southern California generally in those years were wonderful places. I grew up there. What a great childhood in the 1960s.
