But the reality is that she built her public persona around being his girlfriend. How is that our fault? Why are fans being blamed for engaging with the image she chose to present? I’ll tell you why. If she had only posted about her writing and her career instead of constantly centering her relationship, she wouldn’t have gained the hundreds of thousands of followers she has today. Most writers have private Instagram accounts. We know about this relationship because she made it public. If it had been up to him, most people wouldn’t even know they were together. She saw an opportunity to grow her platform through this relationship, and that’s completely her choice. Good for her.
