Sarah Vaughan — “Tenderly”

SARAH VAUGHAN hypnotized the world with her definitive version of “Tenderly.” 🎙️ With this track, "The Divine One" proved her voice was an instrument of unmatched technical precision, capable of jumping octaves with the smoothness of velvet, selling millions of copies in a pop-dominated era. ✨ 🤔 Fun Fact: To achieve that intimate texture, Sarah recorded inches away from a massive RCA ribbon microphone, whose metal grille was covered by a silk stocking to soften the sibilance. The effect was so lifelike that listeners could feel the warmth of her breath in their ears, a technique that redefined the standard for modern jazz. 🎙️🧤 Did you know? 🤯

Is it morally wrong to hit "like" before I even hear it?
