If it is obvious to everyone that entry level white collar jobs (programmers, financial services, etc) are going away, why are we still importing H-1B visa migrants? 80% of H-1B visas go to "entry/junior" level white collar jobs. "AI could wipe out half of all entry level white collar jobs and spike unemployment to 20% in the next 1 to 5 years." "if we look at entry level [jobs] many of the white collar service industries ... AI models are already quite good at."
