What Happens in Heaven Every Time You Pray One Hail Mary ✝🙏👇 Most people do not realize what may be happening in Heaven every time they whisper the words: “Hail Mary, full of grace.” To some, it can seem like a small repeated prayer. But saints, mystics, and spiritual writers throughout Church history have spoken about the Hail Mary with astonishing seriousness. When you pray one Hail Mary, you are repeating the very words spoken by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary at the moment the Incarnation began (Luke 1:28). Heaven first heard those words when Christ entered the world through Mary’s yes. The Book of Revelation says the prayers of the faithful rise before God like incense before His throne (Revelation 5:8). Even the weakest prayer said with sincerity is noticed in Heaven. St. Louis de Montfort taught that every Hail Mary gives joy to the angels and honor to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He wrote that the angels join themselves to those who pray the Rosary faithfully. St. Padre Pio constantly carried the Rosary and called it “the weapon for these times.” People close to him said he prayed dozens of Rosaries daily because he believed immense graces flowed through every Hail Mary. Exorcist priest Fr. Chad Ripperger has spoken many times about the power of the Hail Mary and the unique fear demons have toward the humility and intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Many Catholic devotional writings about Purgatory also express the idea that souls would value even one devoutly prayed Hail Mary beyond anything earthly, because earthly life is the time when we can still freely pray, repent, love, and grow in grace before God. Even distracted Hail Marys matter. God sees the effort of the heart. A tired mother praying in exhaustion, someone praying through tears, a person fighting temptation with beads in their hands... Heaven sees all of it. One Hail Mary may seem small on earth. We’re getting a game set in the Project Hail Mary universe, with direct involvement from Andy Weir himself! Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars is a mixed reality and VR experience where we step into the role of Ryland Grace, diagnose failing systems, and work alongside Rocky to keep humanity’s last hope alive. It’s a completely new story that we’ll be able to experience on platforms like Meta Quest 3 and Pico 4. Amazing to see the Project Hail Mary universe expanding beyond the book and the movie.
