Oxyclean is all you need. Fill the tube up with hot water and Oxiclean and let it sit. Dump it, rinse it and fill it up with vinegar to get the residue off. Dump, rinse and you’re good. No scrubbing, no brushes, you don’t even need to shake the glass. Just let it sit.

I prefer using table salt and rubbing alcohol

Rubbing alcohol, 99%. Just leave it alone. The longer the better. Don't even need to use a Q tip if you leave it in long enough. Then just rinse it off. And no leftover residue
