The first two man protest at the Biafra house in the US. I read comment of people calling the government to use legal action against trespassing. Biafra is a democratic government and as such we will allow any Biafran to protest, demonstrate and make video of the premises, it is part of the movement. We will therefore not sue any poor and frustrated Biafran for protesting and making videos of Biafra Republic Government in Exile office. We will only engage them when they physically assault any staff. -PM

They invited us to his residence, but we categorically declined. We are not going to anyone's house or office. A 'janata darbar' is being held here, and if the ministers want to talk, they should come to the people. The discussion should take place at Jantar Mantar. At the same time, we are reasonable people. If the government is concerned about security at the protest site, we are willing to meet at a neutral venue near Jantar Mantar. We are still waiting to hear back from them. He adds, “The government must have the intention to accept our demands. There is no point in calling us for meaningless discussions. Our time is valuable. Thousands of people are still participating in the protest, and we have to manage that as well... The government should clarify whether it genuinely intends to engage with us..."

We had made it clear that we no longer want assurances, we want concrete action. The government has given a positive response and shown in-principle agreement on two of our three demands: Rs 1 crore in compensation and protection from legal cases, including a sovereign guarantee that no FIRs will be registered and no legal action will be taken against protesters in the future. We also conveyed that protesters across more than 150-200 cities are united in demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation or removal from the Cabinet. The government said the matter would be conveyed to the Prime Minister, and another meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. We expect a concrete decision soon, failing which we will be compelled to give another national call."

They will be closing all the FIRs. Along with that, in the previous order, there was a line stating that no action will be taken against any protestor who does not have criminal antecedents. Today, the court clarified that criminal antecedents would only mean heinous crimes like murder and rape…it ensures that regular students, protestors, and even students who have engaged in political protests in the past will not face any legal problems in the future, and all FIRs against them will be closed…we are waiting for the written order to come. However, whatever has been orally pronounced in the court by the judges, we welcome it.”

A question for Saurav Dass. Today, you are saying that if the FIRs are not withdrawn, you and your team will protest again. But CJP leaders, including Sonam Wangchuk, have stated that those who attacked police personnel, misbehaved with female journalists, and damaged public property were not part of the CJP protest. If that is true, then why are you demanding the withdrawal of those FIRs? Also, FIRs cannot be withdrawn by a mere announcement. There is a legal procedure, and any withdrawal can only take place in accordance with law and with the approval of the competent court wherever required.

A question for Saurav Dass. Today, you are saying that if the FIRs are not withdrawn, you and your team will protest again. But CJP leaders, including Sonam Wangchuk, have stated that those who attacked police personnel, misbehaved with female journalists, and damaged public property were not part of the CJP protest.
