This little girl told her mom that she wishes she weren’t black and that she was white. The mother tells her that she is beautiful and that God made her the way she is for a reason. But she questions her on why she would think that. The mother is second guessing herself now. She says “As a mother raising three girls, this is the first time I've encountered something like this, and hearing it from my 5-year-old truly stopped me in my tracks. Despite believing that I built her up to be strong and to love herself and who she is, I stand here feeling stuck and saddened, questioning where I may have gone wrong. I don't know where her trouble started from. The only thing I can do at this stage of her madness is to pray for her. She mentions my name at every little thing. As she is cursing me, I am progressing and my children are making it, so why should I be angry? My fans should please ignore her. She really needs help.
