Please don’t share these videos as a "good deed." Ripping barnacles off a turtle’s shell causes them intense pain (the shell has nerve endings) and leaves open wounds prone to deadly infections. An overload of barnacles means the turtle is already very sick and needs a rescue center, not a chisel.

This is horrendous, the poor barnacles do not deserve this cruelty. So many creatures dead to save one. Insanity.

They aren't called "mosquitoes of the sea" for no reason, they're pests and absolutely awful to take care of, I'm glad this turtle is freed from them
