Saving vs Investing

10% return?! I would invest a lot more than $20 a day for that kind of money!

A repeated 10% return every year is a joke and defeats the illustration.

There is something missing here, the type of stock you invest in matters too. You may pour your money in an investment that doesn't appreciate, in the end you won't make as much as you imagined. Having the right investment is what I think is missing.

finance bros think people just have $20 they can put aside every day for all 365 days in a year

What should I invest 20$ in that’ll give 10% returns ?

Most people underestimate what small daily choices become over decades. Twenty dollars can be a coffee, or it can be a fortune. The real difference is not the money itself, but the discipline to think beyond today. What you plant now compounds into the life you’ll live later.

10% return

1. Savings guarantees your exact saved money after years but no guarantee on inflation, cost of living etc. You are taking a risk that things stay same. 2. Investing doesn't guarantee anything at anytime. You can make a 100 fold your investment or loose everything. You are taking the risk that your investment will return more than you may loose to the risks in point 1.

Lesson: The guy with less money always walks away pissed

Consistent 10% for 30 years 😂

$950.000 increase in 5 years? How can it be $1.390.000 after 30 years and $2.340.000 after 35 years?

This happened when we left the gold standard.🤷♂️ Federal Reserve decided to add inflation and ruin the concept of saving $. Yes, you are an idiot for saving money. Your unelected Fed fucked you again. And where are you getting 10%? I want some of that.

Now do one that loses 5 percent of investing

It really depends on the type of investments and timing. S&P had 10 years of negative returns. Most ppl don’t make 10% annually!

What if the investor guy dies in the next 5 years and the savings guy lives 40+ years?

Which instrument guarantees 10%

Only if you "save" in fiat currency. It's impossible to save in a currency that is actively being debased through supply inflation. Try saving in hard money, like gold, or even better, bitcoin. It's a very different story. #OptOut #SaveInBitcoin

OK I'm convinced, give us the link for this 10% return investment that never fails

Why is his savings not getting a return? All savings accounts give something.

Brother if I had 20 dollars a day to invest with I wouldn't be poor to begin with

@grok give investment ideas based on this video bls

Hey look at the bright side, he didn't age a Day!

I’ll probably be dead in 25 but not bad… also where are you getting 10% returns in the market? Shit 10% average over the last 25 years isn’t even a thing

I think this is bullshit as fuck. Just saying...

Everything can be in editing

Love these examples. Especially for people who may have children/grandchildren on the way, and want to set something up for them. Automate it all on the @BetaShares app. It’s basic, you could Dollar Cost Average (which is what investing $20 a day means) into either of the A200 or NDQ ETF’s and can quite easily 1.5x these amounts, particularly when you reinvest dividends. Which is also a basic in the app.

Where can you get this magical 10% guaranteed return?

This is so flawed... 1. Saving doesn't equal 0% interest, but more like ~3% if deposited long-term in the bank. 2. Investing for most people generates 5-7% annual gains. Of course 10% is easy, just take a NASDAQ ETF. 3. Capital gains tax will diminish the difference even further.

false ... saving has less risk, investing is risky ... investing can end up with nothing ... saving not !

Rise in stock values today is a reflection of currency dilution more than the underlying value of the businesses. Traditional savers not in the U.S. stock market have been screwed.

unless there is a market crash!

Kaka

And then investment crash and you are FUC*ED

10% return on investments Seriously 10%? Are you investing in drugs or weapons or maybe human trafficking 😐 4% to 6% per year is the greatest return if you can find it Most investments are less than that

Lol.. no. Don't play fiat games. The 'need' to invest is a symptom of degradation of your money. And very few beat an average inflation in money supply of 14%. The only solution is saving in sound money.
