I’ve spent the last month at home in Vegas projecting a hard sport route at a local sport crag (in between parenting and work travel - there’s been a lot of real life mixed in!). I’ve been following this phenomenon for a while. I have no idea what to make of it but when you see the sky get that black at 3:30 in the afternoon on a sunny day AND you hear what sounds like loud trumpets in the sky…It means something.. I’m not sure what. I don’t know if it’s biblical or if it’s something our government is doing, but I know what it sounds like to me . It’s been happening all over the world . I’d love to hear your opinions on this.

I know a setup like this for many people would look cool and convenient but hear me out. I would only utilize something like this while parked in a camping area with other people. I would not use this by myself in the middle of the woods like this. I don’t feel they are safe and I’ll explain why. First off and most importantly, I don’t see a safe way to secure it. It’s all thin plastic sheeting meant to be waterproof but can be easily cut to gain access. If anyone wanted to cause harm or rob you, all they have to do is cut through the sheeting and they would have access to everything. It wouldn’t be hard to break into this. Then I look at how long it takes to setup, while it shows one person can set this up by themselves. Look at how long it takes to do this, it’s very impractical. I feel something like this that’s an add on to a vehicle should be much easier, like pushing a button and everything is pops out by itself. In an emergency I couldn’t imagine trying to fold things back in the right way while trying to escape. Could you imagine trying to outrun a bear in this only for it to be ripped off by tree branches cause you couldn’t fold it in time? The scenario I’m thinking of is what if I am being chased by a wild animal like a wolf or a bear. I couldn’t just hop in my Jeep and take off with this setup. Everything is folded out and tethered into the ground. It’s not like a traditional tent I could leave behind. If I was out camping with friends for a few days I think this could be ok. But doing a van life of camping for months at a time during the summer months wouldn’t be safe or practical as a solid unit like a standard RV. I wouldn’t be comfortable or safe in something like this.

I work at Nike innovation now so don’t work on them anymore so not sure all the details for this version but basically we used cameras and computer vision to track each athlete in each lane. Because the cameras were calibrated to specific locations and each frame of video timestamped, we could get distance and time data which you can use to get speed, naturally. Feed the data to a 3D rendered stadium and overlay graphics, and voila. We chose to show speed at the end of each “phase” of the race which I based the location on the data we got from testing and common knowledge of the 100m. So stopping at 30m (drive) and 60 (maintenance) and the end was intentional. Looks like a white label indicates a leader at the end of the phase. The green thing at the front of their label looks to indicate if their are accelerating. This is a bit of a deception because you’re always either accelerating or decelerating. So what it’s actually an indication of is if you’re within a certain percentage of your top speed. The green at the end is graded based on that which is why it’s a gradient. Basically shows that Noah not only has the highest tops speed but holds it best. The final view is everyone’s top speed and where they hit it in the race. It’s freaking wild that Tobago hit his top speed so late.

At around 8 this morning I was only at about 166 degrees when it decided it was going to rain so I hurried up and took it inside and finished it in the oven. I pulled it at about 200 degrees and I knew I was going to rest it in the cooler so I figured I would have 5 degrees to spare. A four hour rest in the cooler turned into a 6 hour rest because I fell asleep and overslept. The bark wasn’t as crispy as I like it to be but the meat is tender and juicy, it cuts easy and falls apart in your hand. Over all it turned out good. I think I’m going to save it for special occasions or when I have a lot of time on my hands.

Did you just see it too? The car in question just vanished. There were reports from other drivers that claim the same thing at this intersection. They all saw a car driving on the road and all of a sudden it wasn’t there anymore. The car in question reminds me of a 1950’s Belair, it looks so out of place for today’s day and age. I do see some of them on the road every once in a while and that’s why they stick out to me so much. I’m not saying this is a haunted road or this is even paranormal, however I have heard of these residual style occurrences happening. If that was the case maybe this was where the original owner had an accident and it plays out over and over throughout the years at random. Have you ever seen anything like this before? It’s not often I’m lost for words, but when the sky around your aircraft explodes into a kaleidoscope of colours that are alive and twisting, it totally got me. Last nights display of the #Auroraborealis was utterly breathtaking. This is the first time I’ve managed to catch this as a video on my iPhone and it really doesn’t do it justice. I feel so privileged to be able to see these amazing spectacles from my office window and have the ability to share them by giving you a peek out of our office. It was like Santa was test driving his sleigh for the big night. For those interested, this was 38,000ft over Greenland going westwards to Vancouver at about 500mph.
