Looks like a cheap cuphead knockoff. I don’t really understand why you people love to use this art style - it is so freaking hard to implement it properly and all you get is mediocre graphics in return at best

with all due respect, i think you're kinda aiming for a "corporate" rubberhose style instead of an accurate one. i also think the effects sound too modern, and the music you're going for is late 30s-50s swing. if you wanna base it in the early 30s you wanna go for dixieland jazz

yep, more 1920s ish. if you listen to early 30s cartoons they're composed as 1920s foxtrots, and many use melodies or direct medleys composed from 20s music. fleischer did that a lot, ex:they play "under your window tonight" during the escape from home scene in minnie the moocher

Your hit boxes make no sense. The entire chain needs to be a hit hox. The obvious chain coming out of the back of the neck is terrible design. The main characters hitbox also doesnt make sense. Can he be hit, can he not be hit? Its just janky.

Im sorry but this game does NOT look fun in the slightest, shit genuinely looks like it was made on Scratch code/mechanic wise, assuming this video isnt the final product it definitely has a lot room to improve, i do like the graphics though.
