I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. Today is #WorldCancerDay and this is Liz, in a video recorded just days after she had been told she had Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour. She knew her cancer had a five year survival rate of just 15% but as she made this video for her peers to support her application for head student she reassured them she would be fine. Liz died less than 10 months after this video was made, exactly 10 months after she was diagnosed. Aged 17. Liz was passionate about changing the world for others, in her life as you will hear in this video and in her death by donating her body to Glasgow University for research. Liz was amazing. She battled so hard but without a treatment that is effective against DSRCT she was fighting a battle she couldn’t win. Please help us change things for others. This is a great discussion by Elon Musk at the WEF in Davos on how Optimus will help the elderly. Our population is aging rapidly. Just the other day my grandmother fell and broke her hip. She lives by herself about an hour drive from me, so it's difficult to be there all the time. She was found on the floor laying for 5 hours. The only way we knew something was wrong was because she wasn't answering the phone, we had to drive an hour to see what happened. She refuses a caregiver who lives in the neighborhood to come in and check in on her, she insists that she doesn't need help. Optimus would be a huge lifesaver for her. She can still maintain her independence and have Optimus there to help her when she needs it. Optimus can adjust its help based on her personality and observing what she needs help with so she can still feel independent and active without all the dangers that come with being nearly 90 years old.

The internet is torn on this one. She’s making food for her homeless brother who struggles with demons when he messaged her saying he was hungry. Some people were shaming her for allowing him to be on the streets, but these people don’t know what it’s like when someone struggles like that. You can try to help as much as you can but relapsing is a real thing. My thing is, I get that living with her may not be an option but whey does she have to wait until he’s messaging her to bring him food. If he can’t live with her safely, why doesn’t she just make food for him daily so at least they know he’s being fed?
