On rape as a weapon of war. 👇🏾Remember the women of October 7. Remember the women of Congo. Remember the women of Sudan. The women of Ethiopia. All the victims around the world. There is a war against women. It’s called rape. Women are always the first victims of conflict. They are not only raped and kidnapped, but also sold and exploited as slaves. Their pain is never ending. It’s not only a woman that is destroyed when it happens, but the whole community, a whole family. The women of Congo, the women of Sudan, the women of Ethiopia, they all need us. I am today also especially willing to have us remember the women who were violated on October 7th, who were kidnapped and who were raped. This was also rape as a weapon of war. We need to condemn it, and some of them are still held as hostages. I would like to finish by honoring a woman from my city called Nathalie. Nathalie loves to go running in the morning. When she went out in 2016 to run in Vilvoorde, where I live, someone beat her up, raped her, and left her as if she was dead. After that, she went through so much pain, but the perpetrator was free three years later. The pain was so intense that Nathalie requested euthanasia, and she was granted the right to have euthanasia because the pain was unbearable. This is what our system does to women who are victims. Either they didn’t have teeth or they simply aren’t as fierce as the women in Congress. Irrespective - "That's one small step for Modi, one giant leap for women’s empowerment."

These two young women were confronted by Loss Prevention as they were about to leave the store. They were eating food, sold by the pound, as they were walking around the store and didn’t pay for it. The hydro flask she had may have been shoplifted as well. They received a one year ban at the grocery chain (not sure how you are enforcing that). That’s it. No other penalty. That must have been a quiet ride home. She threw her friend under the bus rather quickly. What if your friend did that to you ? Would you still be friends with her?

Epstein Island is only one of many hubs that are trafficking, women and children! We are naïve to believe the island was the only one. It’s crazy to me that they can get away with this right under our noses. Trafficking is one of the most profitable businesses and they won’t give that money up. So we need to speak out against it and make people aware of what they’re doing to these women and children.

Due to the Australian sex discrimination commissioners interpretation of the law women are having to: • Go to the high court to reestablish that we are still included in the legislation that was created specifically for us • Lesbians have to go to a tribunal for a second time to reestablish that heterosexual men are not lesbians • A woman is being dragged through a state tribunal for saying that men who claim to be women cannot breastfeed • Women are losing both employment & volunteer positions for asserting the *fact* that men are not women • A woman is appealing a $95,000 fine for using publicly available information to inform people that there are men in women’s sport • Women are being threatened with punishment if they don’t compete with the men in sport • School aged girls are not drinking water at school - or not attending at all for the week of their period - so they don’t have to use unisex bathrooms • Women currently & formally in prison are revealing the sexual assaults they have experienced due to men who claim to be women locked in cells with them The current *interpretation* of Australia’s sex discrimination act - accepted by the full federal court for reasons known only to them - is not creating less discrimination.
