Scary or cute?

Cute, in my opinion because on the surface it is adorable but the mother and the scene causes implications that are far far more terrifying.

Cute. It looks like it genuinely finds almost childlike joy and whimsy in making the mother suffer, which I personally find way more unsettling

Death should have more than one image, and imo there should be levels. Death could be dangling the kid by the foot in one of those. Also, the mother should also have more of an animation

How about scary THEN Cute? At first he tries to act scary, but then starts to enjoy holding the child in his arms

personally I would use cute seeing that death comes for everyone, I usually use that to make death kind and caring for the souls he reaps, which is why I feel like cute should be used more

I mean it really depends on the context. Is the demon creature EVIL or actually a nice guy? The “cute” version looks too sincerely kind for it to be evil in my opinion (it’s the horn/back spikes that sell the “actually a good person” vibe).
