Sweet 2-throw sequence from Brock Purdy including a no-looker 👀 at today's 49ers practice: 🏈 Absolutely perfect deep toss to De'Zhaun Stribling on a corner. The rookie caught the ball with Jack Jones and Marques Sigle very close, but Purdy couldn't have run up and handed the ball to him in a better spot. Hit Stribling's hands like a pillow, making no noise (I was standing very close, only a few yards away). Smooth 🏈 Purdy then made a no-look pass, a 3/4 release completion to KhaDarel Hodge down the seam while looking toward Stribling in a different direction

‼️ MUST ADD FOR PRACTICE ‼️ Olympic style 3x3 is quickly becoming one of the best 'SSGs' for overall development. It's really fast paced, and every possession is played with a ton of purpose. Players play with maximum spacing, build endurance WITH THE BALL and, if done properly, SHOT QUALITY is the games' biggest emphasis. In the Olympics 👇🏼 The analytics behind the actions they deploy are much different than standard 5 on 5, as well. Shooting 25% from 3 is the equivalent of 50% from 2 so there is a HEAVY emphasis on making and defending the 3. This means there is a ton of switching and coverage solutions/counters to switching defenses with NO TAG AT THE HOOP. The game translates BEAUTIFULLY to 5 on 5. 3x3 rules are a simple constraint to make and defend the 3 ball at a much higher level using '3 man' actions. IMO, a must add to our 5 on 5 teams. Notes from today's #Bengals practice, another solid showing from the rebuilt defense. -Play of the day goes to Bryan Cook, stepping in front of an anticipation in-breaker from Burrow to Mitch Tinsley. Great read, veteran play. 📽️⬇️ DJ Ivey was thrust in with the first team with Dax Hill scaled back today. He showed well, including a great PBU on a deep ball left one-on-one with Tee Higgins. -Bengals DL continues to make Burrow and company uncomfortable. Not as rough as yesterday, but those guys are just a load right now. -Two days in a row now with a splash play by Colbie Young. Confidence is growing in the rookie. -Dohnte Meyers shows up every day. -Deep cut: A few particularly nice reps in 1-on-1 work for UDFA Corey Robinson II. -Burrow off a bit today. ⚽️👇 Activity Description Below 🗣️ This is a practice called ‘Rondo into Cutbacks’ from Drill Library. Play starts with a 4v2 rondo in the central area. The team of 4 in possession must complete a minimum of five passes before playing a pass into either of the two wide players positioned on the outside. Upon successfully passing the ball into the wide players, they will initiate a 3v2 attack, with the two wide players and the centre forward attacking against two defenders. Travis Hunter might already have the BEST ball skills of any player in the NFL. One NFL scout reportedly believes Hunter is the type of player that could “legitimately” come away with both OROY and DROY awards at the end of the season. Notes on today's #Bengals practice, the most competitive and game-like conditions we've seen so far. - Great back-and-forth with big plays from both sides. Logged six drives for ones-vs-ones and two touchdowns. Burrow connects with Andrei Iosivas and Tee Higgins for scores. - The Higgins TD was a classic back-shoulder high-point in the corner against DJ Ivey. Unguardable stuff. Jay Morrison had a perfect angle on the video. - Tanner Hudson with the play of the day for the 2nd-team offense with a fourth-down TD against a double team from Flacco. - Blitz was working forcing stops with Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter both coming up with nice plays. 📽️ Another day, another flash play for Colbie Young, although he also dropped a contested catch in the end zone. -Jonathan Allen with a sack. - No Bryan Cook, no Dax Hill, no Jalen Davis (in team) left the DBs a little shorthanded. - Honestly, just a high-level practice for both sides. Oh my! The cute baby and the adorable pet cat are just so lovely! Look at the baby with those chubby cheeks and bright, innocent eyes that seem to hold the whole universe of curiosity. "My arms aren't growing no matter how hard I train them." No matter how hard. Yes. That will be it. Because clearly the missing ingredient is effort. Twenty sets was not enough, the four angles were not enough, the drop set at the end was not enough, and the answer is presumably a fifth angle and a whole additional evening. What your arms actually get in a normal week: - Heavy tension from every row, chin and pulldown - Heavy tension from every press, dip and close-grip - Twenty isolation sets piled on top of that - All of it at the end, when the weight has to be light - All of it at length, where damage is highest - A drop set, because they are stubborn - Four days of soreness - One training exposure, seven days later Biceps and triceps are the most damage-sensitive tissue in the building. Two small muscles with almost nothing there to absorb the work. Damage is not a growth signal. It is a repair bill, and repair spends the exact recovery you were hoping to build with. So no, they are not growing no matter how hard you train them. They are not growing because of how hard you train them. What they need instead: - One or two hard sets - Early in the session, while you can still load them properly - Twice a week - Add weight when you can Two of those sets are all the direct arm work I do. The bloke on his eleventh set of pushdowns has been at that machine since I walked in.

There are 450 players in the NBA. Of those 450 players……maybe……38 are star players. The other 412 players are all ROLE players!! This means that roughly 85% of the players with jobs in the NBA are ROLE players. The key then to getting to the NBA and staying in the NBA is mastering your ROLE, no matter how big or small that ROLE may be. Patrick Beverley averaged 40ppg in high school while playing in the toughest inner-city league in Chicago. Beverley would not have lasted two seasons in the NBA trying to be a scorer, so he found his ROLE, and turned that into a 12 year career with $82 million in career earnings. Draymond Green is capable of averaging 18-20ppg. That is not his ROLE with the Warriors. He has turned his ROLE into a 14 year career and $228 million in career earnings. No one is asking Bronny James to be a scorer. The Lakers have FOUR scorers. Bronny’s ROLE is to be an elite defender, to knock down open jump shots, and to be aggressive in attacking on offense when opportunities arise. Bronny is growing into his ROLE. A 22-year old earning $120,000 every two weeks while working with his father who is a billionaire is a failure in YOUR eyes if the 22 year old does not average 20ppg because you are both broke AND stupid, and you don’t understand the BUSINESS of the NBA!

Day 6 notes - OLB Tuli Tuipulotu participated in one 7-on-7 rep but did not take part in the remainder of team drills, marking his sixth straight practice with limited participation as his contract situation remains unresolved. - LT Rashawn Slater left practice and spent time in the medical tent before not returning. After practice, Justin Herbert said Slater wanted to get back on the field and was in good spirits afterward. - The offense came out sharp, with Herbert completing his first eight passes before S RJ Mickens broke up a pass. What you witnessed last night……(and this is why I hate talking basketball with Caitlin Clark fans because they know jack NOTHING about the game of basketball)……….was the result of team meetings, walk-throughs, film sessions, and an ENTIRE GAME PLAN that was CENTERED around containing ONE player: Angel Reese. ————————————————- The plan was simple: 1. If the ball goes to Angel Reese in the post, immediately double and triple team her. No one player can stop her. 2. If a shot goes up, send FOUR BODIES to surround ANGEL REESE. No one player will keep her off the boards. No TWO players will keep her off the boards. We’ve TRIED that. ————————————————- I’ve attached two video clips from last night’s game: Clip 1: The ball goes to Angel Reese in the post. She is immediately triple-teamed. Why on God’s green EARTH would a WNBA team TRIPLE-TEAM a player who SUCKS?!!! Great question. Clip 2: A shot goes up. FOUR PLAYERS from the Minnesota Lynx ALL crash around Angel Reese, just as the team had discussed during their team planning sessions. Timeline: 12/23/23: MMTLP open letter is signed and sent to FINRA and the SEC (Deadline for response: 1/31/24). FINRA responded by the deadline; SEC responded 6 days late. 2/2/24: Dennis Kneale interviews Ralph Norman and asks about (MMTLP open letter response) subpoenas and hearings. (On subpoenas) Norman: "That has to come from a chair of a committee, James Comer is chair of oversight. He signed our letter." (On hearings) Norman: "Yes, and we're going to lead the way on that because at the HFSC, that's our job!" 7/10/24: No subpoenas, no hearing (even thought Norman says "We've had hearings on this." (In his interview with Dan Ball) "It's in the SEC's hands." As if to hang his hat on the charges against the former CEOs which still to this day haven't be ruled on or dropped and it seemed as if Norman was wiping his hands clean of getting us answers. 5/26/25: 479 days since his interview with Dennis Kneale, Charles V Payne had Norman on his show again and asks for an update. More lip service from Congressman Norman. Timeline: 12/23/23: MMTLP open letter is signed and sent to FINRA and the SEC (Deadline for response: 1/31/24). FINRA responded by the deadline; SEC responded 6 days late. 2/2/24: Dennis Kneale interviews Ralph Norman and asks about (MMTLP open letter response) subpoenas and hearings. (On subpoenas) Norman: "That has to come from a chair of a committee, James Comer is chair of oversight. He signed our letter." (On hearings) Norman: "Yes, and we're going to lead the way on that because at the HFSC, that's our job!" 7/10/24: No subpoenas, no hearing (even thought Norman says "We've had hearings on this." (In his interview with Dan Ball) "It's in the SEC's hands." As if to hang his hat on the charges against the former CEOs which still to this day haven't be ruled on or dropped and it seemed as if Norman was wiping his hands clean of getting us answers. 5/26/25: 479 days since his interview with Dennis Kneale, Charles V Payne had Norman on his show again and asks for an update. More lip service from Congressman Norman. Still no hearings, still no subpoenas. ?/??/25: James Comer says on TV, "In order for a subpoena to be honored in a court ruling, you have to make every sincere effort to invite people to come, then you follow up with a subpoena." Notes from today’s #Bengals practice: - Overall, another winning day for the defense, but not as conclusive as recent practices - Cashius Howell popped in a big way on a couple rushes off the edge against Orlando Brown using both speed and power. Also blew by Andrew Coker for a would-be sack. Probably his best practice to date. The fact Zac Taylor referenced him having the same tenacity as Erick All tells you what you need to know about he’s viewed. - Vet day for Chase meant extra passes for Tee Higgins. Hit some, but still off at times, working to get their connection down (nobody should be worried about this). - Ugly drop by Andrei Iosivas to close practice on a crosser. A lot to like about where Iosivas is at, but he just has to eliminate those moments from his game or he’ll be watching Colbie Young before long. - Offense had been very good operationally this camp, but a delay of game and false start showed up today. -Dax Hill still limited, DJ Ivey and DJ Turner both with PBUs. 📽️ Jalen Davis with a nice play on third down with a PBU -Colbie Young had a drop, but also the recipient of one of Burrow’s best balls of the day running a seam between Knight at Battle.

It’s been an outrageous weekend for Vanderbilt Baseball 2026 commit RJ Cope, a 6-foot-8 first baseman and lefty with top-of-scale raw juice from the left side at the plate. The big man is 10-for-16 with a homer, double, four walks to two Ks and three stolen bases. It’s a no-doubt power over hit profile but he’s done an outstanding job of waiting for his pitch and depositing it in gaps like in the video below when he put a defensive two-strike swing on a ball to cash in runs for his team in a critical spot. All of this and Cope is still new to hitting. His potential is off the charts with the bat.
