Scenes from Helena, a 1924 German silent epic about the Trojan War

This film was directed by Manfred Noa. It was so expensive that it reportedly caused financial difficulties for Bavaria Film

It taught AI to make this

Nice! I hadn't heard of this one. You might appreciate this -- I transformed the title cards into English for the French 1908 silent film, The Return of Ulysses, to make it easier to watch on X:

even 100 years ago they had better horses than nolan 😭

I really hope this isn't AI like everything else these days.

Bro this Trojan looked like an apartment, how could anyone think this a gift

There are no sex scenes, and the food looks horrible.

😯 for them to make such around that time is rather impressive I hope it’s not AI?

@awoodustin It’s kind crazy think this stories been around for thousand years.

I hope this isn’t A.I., like everything else.

The first Trojan Horse opened the gates of Troy. Today’s Trojans open the back door to your computer. #malware

They saw the AI bullshit spreading through twitter and had to step up

At least this one’s real it looks like. Gotta keep double checking now

Should be Elena, no H.

Folks don't realize that there was actually a audio track invisible on the 16mm or 35mm film prints. The problem was recording sound to that track and extraction.

This scene gives goosebumps......cast looks good and background is perfect......

This is somehow real.

Now that is a Trojan Horse.

Diese Ästhetik sollte man tatsächlich rekultivieren. Man könnte so viel Interessantes machen, aber irgendwie wirkt Wokestan auch künstlerisch gleichgeschaltet.

"How did the Greeks view the unfaithful Helen?" "A deceitful woman who slept around--another one of those Trojan Whores..." More Homeric humor at:

wow! 😍 have to check it!
