Scholes is humble. But he's clearly a better footballer than Gerrard. Gerrard is elite, but Scholes was a better player.

Nah Scholes just dropped an incredible here. He was not even being humble for the sake of it, he gave valid reasons for his points. It warms my heart how much former players respect Gerrard. Social media is the only place where he’s disrespected.

Gerrard couldn’t what Scholes did at united though, when Scholes was in his early 30’s he changed his game to become a deep lying play maker and stayed at the top level for another 8 years, Gerrard tried that, failed, and headed off to the MLS
