if you listen to them, they really dgaf bout race. it's the adults perpetuating the racism low key

Wow. Not that long ago

Meet Elvia - she owns TTT school. She enrolls 15-20 students every month at $6,000 each. She owns the Houston market and has a waiting list of students. Who out there has a waiting list?

That date is the craziest part, seems it was just yesterday. 1971, is not that long ago.

1971 is also the year of the first magnet school. By design, not by coincidence.

Kids carried themselves like Mature adults back in 71'. What are we doing today? 🤣

The Jim Crow era from 1877 to 1964 has left a lasting impact on the image of black people. The media criminalizes them, the police over police them and culture is prejudiced towards them until this day due to negative media images. @TPstudios @BET

The biggest problem with school integration was the Black faculty, teachers, principals, etc were handed pink slips. They only integrated the Black students. Leaving them to be sitting ducks with targets on their backs. Black parents should've fought for separate but equal.

Whenever I watch old footage of us I’m always taken back by how well everyone speaks very little slang spoken and how many more dark skin folks we had. It’s like black Americans are 2 shades lighter now on avg.

It’s so jarring when mom says she doesn’t think going to the school will be an issue and the caption says she said yes!

My picture ..what a brave little girl she was.
