Ex schoolbus driver here...I've seen this time and again on my routes...called local. county and state law enforcement, reported the incidents, requested at least a presence during pickup and drop off windows...never did see any law enforcement. My request to mount a drive cam in the bus denied. When the state finally allowed them, they were set up in a way that prevented the camera from recording these events in a way that could be used to ID the perps. They talk the talk, but when it comes to walking the walk, the kids still keep getting run over.

I remember sitting behind a bus one afternoon near Taylor TX on TX-95. An idiot decided to cross the double yellow and pass me. The bus was trying to make a left turn and this idiot almost T-boned the bus after avoiding a head-on collision.

Where I live the buses will see a line of 45 cars and just park in the middle of the road so no one can drive on either side with NO kids on the bus. Or they stop in the middle of a 55mph rd to let off one kid when they could have pulled into a road instead. Very dangerous
