THANK YOU for course outlines and due dates in advance. I do understand the pedagogical basis for not assessing until students are ready; but life is full of deadlines, and learning time management is, as you say, so critical. This helps your students with anxiety and ADHD, too.

💙💙💙 thank you so much

I follow you on different platforms, and I love the rapport you have with the students. I love your points of views, and just think you're funny and amazing.

Thank you so much

Wonderful. I went through school as a profoundly deaf man. There were accommodations, but high expectations. I had great teachers 40 years ago. Likely like you. My mom said, "you are deaf, so you have to try harder, but most don't try at all."

That's powerful

I had teachers like you all the way through school and university. No slack but a lot of care and love. I was so, so lucky.

Out of curiosity, what subject do you teach? Still think we'd probably clash if we worked together, but agree completely with you in the above video.

History, politics and society. But I bet we have fun disagreeing - 😉

Thank you so much

Thank you thank you thank you! I’ve been a sub for 10 years and I haven’t come across a single teacher who can convey exactly what a young person needs within a classroom to succeed in rl the way you have.Kids would be more successful if teachers here would do this.

Parent of 2 teens (one 1st year uni, one G10) and OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

I wish you could be every student's teacher. Your pupils are blessed.

Omfg. U need to be commended for this. Your teaching style needs to be across the board (see what I did there). Brilliant. The course outlined, the rewrites, come on. You are amazing. This doesn't help just the kids but us parents.

Have you considered coaching other teachers? I think you are amazing at breaking things down! As a parent to 2 teens I can say without a doubt it’s teachers like yourself that allow me to have faith in the public education system.

Gah I wish more teachers thought like you 😞

I so wish I’d had a teacher with your mindset and enthusiasm - just one teacher in the twelve years I was in school. Would that have been too much to ask? You’re so great - thanks for the many videos!

I would love it if our school district brought you in as a guest speaker, you have wonderful insights to education that I think more people need to hear.

I asked my HS freshman daughter if she was given a syllabus, and she said “seriously mom? I’m not even sexually active!” Chances are, we need more teachers like you, and I need to have a talk with my daughter..... and I wish she was in your classes!

🤣🤣😳🤣😳

Wow! Our teaching world just got better with you in it!♥️♥️👏

First, I have to say, I love your content. I am a high school teacher out in BC and I work with students with exceptionalities, mostly low incidence learners. I am wondering if you can speak to your experience with inclusion and supporting all learners in your classroom/school☺️

Yes!!!!!! I too give out assignments and provide feedback with NO GRADE.. they are to improve on the piece (apply feedback) and hand it back in.. 🍎 #realteaching #reallearning 🍎

I so wish I had just one teacher as cool as you are back in my school daze. You rock! And even though I don’t have kids or even plan to at this point please know, I appreciate your methods and think you are a wonderful teacher…

I think you nailed it, teachers need to prepare students for their careers. Time management, prioritization and critical thinking/problem solving are the key to success! I would also add communication skills both verbal and written (email/presentations) are also important

Yes!! Setting students up for success!

Spot on, well done! I think I needed you as a teacher.

Love your content. Your students are incredibly lucky to have a teacher like you.

And, I had a uni teacher who,in addition to complete outline (which was fantastic!),required assignments be handed in sans nom- only place student id # at top of paper. Why?So she could be completely blind to whose work she was reading- zero bias. She then entered grades by ID#.

Wow. You are an amazing teacher. Your students are lucky to have you in their corner. Thank you!

Do you modify for autistic or DD students?

My school is an academic institution - preparing kids who want to go to university. I have taught many a student with different levels of autism - I have never modified what I need only allowed them more time and help in getting to the finish line

Oh ok that makes sense. You would be a great teacher in a “regular” school 😊

You. Are. Brilliant.

Yes, modifications over accommodations 🙌 ‼️ holding Ss to expectations tells them “I believe in you” while we support them along the way. Absolutely agree 💯❤️

You might just be the perfect teacher! I’m horrible with writing. I’m great with spelling and vocabulary, but can’t figure out written structure to save my life! Someday I will write a 1,000 page novel that only has 1 paragraph. But I like writing. When I was in 7th grade, I 1/

WOW! JUST WOW!!!

I would have needed you had a teacher when I was younger. I feel that if I would have you had a teacher, I would have made something of myself has an adult. You are amazing. ❤️🇨🇦

I don’t always agree with all of your posts, but I do always appreciate hearing your perspectives. And I really love this one. As a leader/employer, I think of what you’re describing as holding the standard with kindness.

If it was up to me, I would give u a big huge raise!!! Thank u for all u do

I love listening to you talk!
