Remember last time we had a government shutdown? Nothing happened. THAT is the reason they voted to push it through...it'd do exactly what they're trying to avoid, prove the government is highly unnecessary.

Low-income Americans who voted for Trump say they are counting on him to keep their benefits intact even while his Cabinet picks and Republican lawmakers call on him to reduce federal spending.

All he has to do is say, "Trump really wanted the shutdown." That would win everyone over to his side that he wants to win over.

At least he's not a hypocrit on this.

Sounds like it would have been way better for us to have a shutdown.
