Cameras have shutters. When the speed of the platter rotation and the shutter matches, the magic happens. Ummm, maybe... ;-D

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Works on the same principle as a book with a bunch of still pictures and you flip through the pages and they appear to be animated.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 It is like a zoetrope but uses a combination of the fps of the camera, a high shutter speed and the rotation speed of the disc to create the persistence of vision scenario common in all animations. @jimlefevre made a thing called a #phonotrope using a record player. Check it out

@gunsnrosesgirl3 It’s your brain. The way thst the brain is set up, it lets you see what it know and remembers.. so when he starts to see a bunch of people, which are drawn differently, it will make u see that a lot of people are doing just this…
