At this point this looks like a better editor than 95% of editors just as a side quest of being a good debugger.

Are you scared that if you give us a read/write buffer instead of just read only that you’re going to get inundated with feature requests for the built in code editor?

Yes, I do not have nearly the bandwidth to deal with that right now.

Beginning to turn into your 4coder

Why use Jai for the demo and not C?

Because I felt like it

Are you writing anything in Jai?

No, this is just the demo Invaders game included with the compiler

I know, I know. I'm in the beta as well. I was asking if you're building any hobby projects or something in Jai.

No, I don't have enough time right now

holy shit this is such a good idea

Also it's wild to see jai in the demo, nice

I'll try to yoink that to my nvim setup, seems nice

Ok, fine. I'll try to port my doom emacs config to RAD Debugger, when it gets a linux version. As it has more runtime info, it might allow for more useful annotations too.

genuinely useful in C headers with 200+ line struct declarations. in function bodies they're a signal the function needs splitting

I strongly disagree. Functions should not be split because of nesting/length. This only leads to pain and architectural confusion. See:

The kids yearn for keyword-contained blocks

With this color scheme i thought this was Visual Studio at first

Dude, stop teasing and port the debugger on Linux!

This man just couldn't stop cooking

Is this odin?
