Scott Harris couldn’t do better than the 4th ranked outfielder in the Dodgers organization? I don’t really care for the 28 year old pitcher either 🤷♂️

I love these videos man. Keep them up!

What’s this Jim we’re getting videos now?

Tigers asking price for Skubal in January: Ben Rice, Cam Schlittler, George Lombard Tigers Skubal haul from Dodgers: Zyhir Hope, River Ryan, Brady Smith

They developed him to who he is, and decided to be the farm system for larger markets. They are an unserious organization as long as pizza boy is writing the checks. No need to buy tickets or watch the games on tv until they choose to behave differently.

yes he did, he should’ve at least entertained the idea of extending the guy

I really like the move. Hope seems to be penciled in right and should replace Carpenter and shrink Mckinstry reps. River upside seems solid if healthy and Smith is a nice part of the deal...imo.

They minimized the amount of teams that would have been serious bidders by not trading him during the winter meetings. All the big market teams and some mid market contenders would have been enticed by the full year of team control. Time will tell if this was a good return

I desperately want to hear somebody in Tigers media ask Harris why despite reports early Sat. that he had not even engaged any talks w/other teams, he executed a trade that night. That tells me he panicked & took the first offer. Ryan/Hope instead of Sheehan/Sirota is crazy.

Skubal for peanuts, great deal tigers

Would love to know what you expected

An actual bidding war for skubal. You are telling me no other team was able to match the three bums that dodgers gave away... gtfoh

Ah so you don’t have anything to add Hope is a Top 25 prospect in all of baseball. Ryan is another in the top 70 Prospects are all you get back for a rental. Please give me the prospect haul you think they should have received

Jim, sorry brother I am having a hard time digesting your logic. So what you are telling me is that no other team had a better package to offer than a top 25 and a top 70 prospect? Come on don't jack me around this sounds ridiculous.

Is it really a prospect when he’s about to be 28 years old?

Lmao. 🤣 😂😂

Love the breakdown, Jim

@Hugeshow Costa with the correct take

He didn’t win anything either. Can the dodgers now sign him before the end of the season or before official lockout, and bypass any cap restrictions. I’d look for them to do something like that and defer 700 million before new rules go into effect.

Call this what this was. #ScottHarris failed at his job AGAIN. How many more deadlines and off seasons is it going to take that he’s at best a HS SCOUT. #FireScottHarris

This why this team hasn’t won a WS since 1984 because everyone would rather have prospects than greats! 4 years from now they still won’t be any closer they will trading their next best player for Prospects!

See my pushback is we all know the Dodgers have more talent in their farm system, you could’ve really tried to hold off and see if they gave up a little more for a 2 time Cy Young pitcher that’s a luxury to them. It is sad no other teams tried and go all in for Skubal

You’re insane lol. What a trash trade

Why didn’t he wait and create a bidding war. We still had time tho..

100% correct. Now go yell at Jeff Riger and tell him to stop being so negative. 🤣

Jim - Skubal is a 2x Cy Young winner. And all they got back was some prospects? I can’t imagine that they didn’t consult the Rays, Brewers, and Cubs, maybe the Phillies and Padres…but only received prospects, who are questionable, is a bit underwhelming.

Totally agree Jim! I don’t understand what people expect Scott Harris to do. His owner is a sleezball cheapskate. Everyone in Michigan wanted Skubal to stay and to pay him but both sides couldn’t agree. Get what u can with young prospects and move on

Thanks for breaking this down for us Jim 🫡

F- Harris got absolutely fleeced

Jim, all of this makes sense, but I’ve heard that since Ryan is 27 years old we’ve basically just acquired Alex Cobb again🙄

He did if the reports were true if what Philly was offering him

Harris only *had* to trade Skubal b/c he fucked up the negotiations 2 yrs ago when they could’ve extended him. Then, doubled-down by offering him a comical $19M in arb this yr. Then! Giving Valdez $32M as the #2 SP! Got back 3 players, 2 are bums: 28-year-old, a 4.5 ERA in AAA.
🎯

I would of taken tibbs over River Ryan

The response from *some* local and national media personalities on the return has been strange. This team isn’t winning the AL. At best don’t understand Skubal is on an expiring deal and hasn’t engaged in serious ext. talks with the team. And the 10y/400 mil he’d want. Not worth it

There’s a word for 28 year old prospects. It’s called, bust.

Harris is the new Al Avila. Skubal, Verlander, Scherzer. 7 Cy Young awards and 20 All Star games. GONE! There’s never been anything like this in professional sports and the only thing tying it all together is Chris Illich. Nice try Jim but NO way to spin it!

Finally someone with common sense
