Scottie Scheffler reflects on his Ryder Cup performance: “My emotions yesterday afternoon when the matches ended, I think it's hard to put into words how much it hurts to lose all four matches. To have the trust of my captains and teammates to go out there and play all...

Jordan Spieth shot a bogey free 62 yesterday, with 6 birdies in a row, and a closing 9 of 29, to climb into the top 10 of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. After the round he said he feels as good as he has in 9 years and then went into more detail about why: “It's physically and my mechanics. I got pretty off for a long time. I've been trying to build it back, and then I'd compensate and do what worked. “This last off-season I said no more compensating because, to be consistent, I've got to get it back to a certain place, and it's been work from then to try to get there. It's all in mechanics and health.” He then detailed what part of his game worked well in the 62: “It was putting today. I've been driving the ball the best of my life, and I drove it horribly today, like really badly. But putting was -- to go to your actual question, putting was the best. “I felt fluid with it. I felt like I -- in what I've been trying to do, I've been trying to put it all together. I know what needs to happen, but putting it all together into a fluid stroke and then being able to be outwardly focused has been the goal. “I felt like last night I did a really good job out here of that being the goal, find that, and then carry it into this morning and then trust it on the course. “Frankly, I mean, I told Michael -- I've been telling Michael for a while. I just feel like one lips in instead of lips out, and I feel like the lid comes off. I lipped out a few yesterday. I had one on No. 10 go across the lip today, but then the one on No. 1 could have been short and fell in. It was like, oh, wow, there is a hole there. “Sometimes I've certainly shown that I can get streaky with it and was able to kind of get on the right side of that today.” Jordan Spieth PGA TOUR

💌DPR Ian 260629 FROMM update part. 2 - transcription “thank you for those messages guys. i’m reading them. just want to say i appreciate all the messages. anyway yeah it's,you know what i realized? you know,i feel like dreamers is such a,it's such a correct term for our fandom, but also,it's too small of a word to contain who we are. i realized what makes us so strong and so unique is just the fact that we have all of each other's backs when it gets tough. there are a lot,i know there are a lot of our fans that are so diverse. and not just that, are diverse in terms of what they go through. i mean,we all go different things in this world. but for a community to come together and celebrate one another,we go through something so hard in this world and sometimes the world is really not kind to us. but the fact that we've always tried to push each other, not away, but to find resilience and salvation within ourselves,is what makes this fandom what it is. and i couldn't be more proud and i couldn't be more prideful about who i was representing. i just wanted to take this night to really say that i think dreamers are probably one of the most,i think, strongest and proud, but also the most intuitive fans anyone could really have. and for that,i’m always going to be thankful. and gosh,i couldn't have anyone better. who we've become, sorry, how we've come together as a collective, really goes beyond words and really goes beyond i think understanding,to be honest. but we are always going to be there in the dark and of course in the light. but it really does matter when you're there in the dark. i think that shows true color. and time and time, you have proven not to me,but to everybody in the team and to yourselves, that you are there for me especially. so yeah, you guys are the light and whenever you need somebody to be your light,i’m going to do my best to do so. but indo hope in the midst of it,dreamers will be the light to other dreamers as well. because, you know,at the end of the day,we're all here,we're all in it together. you know, tomorrow might be a stop,or the next,or in a few years. god knows what. but till then, all we can really do is thrive and i guess just keep dreaming. but i just wanted to say how proud i am of us. how truly proud i am of us. and you guys should also be,also be so much,be so much proud of who you guys are and what you guys represent. you guys aren't just fans at this point. you guys also are a representation of DPR. and i…” *in the korean part,he says that sometimes he speaks to us (fans) in banmal (반말) the informal way of speaking in korean, and it really depends on the moment. he adds that he’ll use it every now and then

Scottie Scheffler explains why playing too many events in a row can mentally drain players and referred to Tiger Woods always playing a limited schedule: “I think when you look at this sport it's unique in a sense of like the amount of time we spend in front of people throughout a week. Like for me to play four days of tournament golf, from the moment I step out on to the driving range if we're playing at a four hour pace that's over five hours, five and a half hours if you include this part of my day, where we're in front of people. And doing that four days in a row in a mental sport I think can take a toll on you. “I think that's why you see a guy like Tiger can only play so many events because I think mentally the challenge of just being in front of people for that long and being on and what it takes in toward to compete week in week out takes a lot out of you mentally. So for me playing more than three weeks in a row is extraordinarily difficult. I can't handle much more than that. “When you look at the season now I think it, for family time it's great to have an off-season as well, just for us for me to be able to be at home with my family is important. As far as the cadence goes, yeah, I definitely have a cadence that I prefer when it comes to scheduling and there are definitely risks cramming a bunch of tournaments into little windows just because it's hard to play that many tournaments in a row. It's hard to be on for that many times. It's hard to get yelled at that many times in a row throughout a round of golf. It just is. That's why for me three weeks in a row is kind of my max.” PGA TOUR TravelersChamp

Justin Thomas is playing the Charles Schwab Challenge this week for the first time in 4 years. Ahead of the event, he said he builds his schedule around what best prepares him for the majors and it may change year to year: “Everybody's different. I would say the most, the first and foremost, most important thing that a lot of the top guys, a lot of, anybody that's in the majors, you're going to at least I would think, is what's going to prepare me the best for the major. So like I've had success in majors when I play the week before. “But playing San Antonio the week before the Masters for me doesn't feel like that's getting me prepared as much as possible for the Masters. Therefore, I don't play San Antonio. I had a year where the PGA, when it was at Southern Hills I wanted to play the week before Byron Nelson, it's easy travel, and I played the week before. So it's very situational of when you play, don't play in that regard. “But I mean I really, really, really try with all my might to not do four in a row, four in a row is like I'm not fun to be around. It's very taxing. So I try to cap it at three. “And, yeah, there's a lot of great tournaments, we're very fortunate to have to miss some great events, but you have to at some point. So just kind of start with the majors and fill it in here and there, I guess.” Justin is coming off the back of a final round 65 to finish T4 at the PGA Championship, his best of the season so far, and will be looking to continue that form and contend for his first win at Colonial Country Club. “This year you won Monaco, you won Silverstone, and you won the World Championship. What else is there left to do?” Lando: “I mean, they're really the best ones. Just downhill from here. I would have loved to make my life a bit easier and winning just earlier next time. But it's always more exciting when it kind of goes down to the final race, final few laps. It's more exciting for everyone, for you guys most of all. But I won ones that, again, people have dreamt of winning. There are some of the most incredible ones. The lap I did in Monaco in quali was the only other time, probably in the last 10 years, that I cried a little bit over something. Because there I proved myself wrong. It was one other moment this season that I proved myself wrong. Because I had that bad run of results. I just couldn't perform in qualifying. Qualifying has always been my strong suit, my best. Yeah, it's been my strength since I was in karting. All my qualifying results are my thing and they weren’t at the beginning of the season. So, when I went to the hardest track to do a qualifying lap in, I turned off my delta for the first time that weekend. So, I couldn't see if I was on a better lap, worse lap, whatever it was. It's not been my best track in the past. For me to then to go there and put that lap I put in at the end of qualifying was one of the best moments of my career in a way because it was the time I almost doubted myself the most ever. In the most important season that it turned out to be. So, but that one lap, 1 minute 9 seconds was all it needed for me to flip everything and turn that thought of ‘I just don't know if I got this’ to ‘oh, I can definitely do this.’ And that was a pivotal moment for me up here.”
