Might be a crazy theory, but maybe... SMGs in this game perform best at close range where they can deal their max damage... and ARs win more gunfights at middle ranges where SMG damage drops off? Almost like... SMGs aren't meant to be cross map beamers?

I’m sick of SMGs being able to beat ARs at range. This game that doesn’t happen often , just like ARs beat the subs up close very rarely as well.

People saying “a sub shouldn’t win those fights anyway” are missing the point. That thing is deleting at that range the same as a sub does up close. The ttk combined with the rate of fire and handling make it too good.

Dmg droppoff of subs is sooo bad. Where is the weakness to ARs? They have same movement like subs, strafe like crazy, and can basically compete up close with TTK with subs, oh and fry across the map. Smh😔

AR ranked play meta?

The last 4 years have been dominated by Assault rifles. We now have a Hybrid class that isn’t an AR imo. Automaton, TAQ, MCW, XM4. These are all fast do it all guns. The CoD meta has struggled ever since they’ve been in the game
