The cell came from Deir ez-Zor and entered Al-Hasakah with the intention of attacking Al-Ghweran Prison, which is filled with ISIS members. The cell members were reportedly sent from Deir ez-Zor by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (Al-Julani) to free ISIS detainees in Al-Ghweran Prison.
