In no reality is this necessary. Give me a valid reason for sealing this. I have done high end solid hardwood flooring and baseboards for forty years. I am just curious.

Do your best and caulk the rest

As a third generation carpenter with 25 years full time This makes me cringe My father would say no more carpenters out there just caulkers

What a pro. I love black silicone sealant. Most folks wouldn’t use it between the baseboard and floor, and if they did, they use white or clear. Black sets it off wonderfully. That finishing technique with the stick. Magical. 🙌
