Taklha, Secretary to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, provided a brief update on His Holiness’s condition following his successful left knee replacement surgery earlier today at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. In June 2024, His Holiness underwent a successful right knee replacement surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and made an excellent recovery. Following today’s procedure, His Holiness returned to his hospital room in stable condition. His recovery is progressing well, and he remains in good spirits. The medical, nursing, and administrative teams at Apollo Hospital have been providing exceptional care, support, and attention. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism, dedication, and kindness.

At last, we managed to locate him and we ran after him for half a day, 🤯 (given his injured neck we didn't want to put a collar on him). In the end he gave in and he let us take him. He was immediately operated on to remove the collar and treat his injuries. We wish him a speedy recovery because he both deserves it and needs it.
