Well Vincent has purple also but it's less prominent. Both use the same core energy theoretically, but that may not be obvious till we see Chaos.

It looks like you transform by holding down the block button (because you can see the synergy skill menu pop up when he transforms) so that means Vincent will not be able to block and therefore needs to rely on dodges Sidenote, he also transforms upon using certain abilities
