@NateLanxon that part near the end about them making the weird, massive, unpredictable world nobody else wants to make. that is what keeps me drawn to it. i have tried other virtual worlds and all of them limited my creativity in some way that made it worthless. second life always wins.

@SecondLife @NateLanxon Furries. Same reason NEOS and VRChat expanded so quickly. Big lands in early SL were furry hubs like Luskwood and FurNation. And aside from shady dealers like Anshe Chung, it never attracted the grifters, scammers, and crypto-bros like Roblox and other current "metaverses" do.

@SecondLife @NateLanxon this virtual world is very neglected, it has serious problems in its scripting language that they don't seem to want to solve, among them an absurd memory limit and a language from the 90s. Second life could be the benchmark in virtual worlds but they are leaving it die

@Auradacious @NateLanxon The people in Second Life are the best. I had a group with people from all over the world and it was wonderful. When I get a better internet connection, I hope to return.

@NateLanxon By the way ... this year in June Second Life was turn 21 ! The event was start on 2024-06-21.
