Rabbi Eli Schlanger, a 40 year old father of 5, murdered on the first night of Chanukah at Bondi Beach for the crime of being Jewish. Tonight we paid a shiva call to his family and they asked us to join them to light for Chanukah. How do we light the menorah in such unimaginably dark times? We light with the illumination of Rabbi Eli's holy neshama which should have the highest aaliyah. There are no words for these moments. Hashem, please, we beg you....ENOUGH PAIN! May Rabbi Eli's family be comforted among the mourners of Zion. May we know no more tragedy like this.

Thank you Chris Philp MP for not only speaking at Britain’s March Against Antisemitism, but for also challenging the Government on its decision not to send a representative. Dan Jarvis MP responded that “This Government will do everything that we possibly can to stand against the forces of racism wherever they seek to rear their ugly head.” Regrettably that does not seem to include sending a member of the Government to address British Jews at a time of surging antisemitism.
