Secret Service counter-snipers did not have direct communication with the local police snipers at the Trump rally. They had no way to communicate before assassination attempt. Full interview with local commander disputing what Acting Secret Service director said:

The thing is is that this was not Trump‘s first outdoor event. So the SS knew how to communicate & how to set up communications w/local LE. There should have been pre-event “testing” to ensure communications were established on all radios. And why wasn’t it??

As Newsmax’s Greg Kelly said, SS could just hand out some devices to local LE for the day. Yet Ronald Rowe claims SS needs MONTHS to prepare to synchronize w/LE. The bureaucrats at USSS are incapable of basic problem solving, let alone protecting lives.

If they identified a threat, why didn’t they address it themselves? They have full jurisdiction and work in coordination with the Secret Service. Local law enforcement don’t need the Secret Service's permission and are well aware of that. That was the acting director’s point
