We really need our security agencies kitted properly to respond to some of threats to our nation security posed by our volatile neighbours such as Sudan.

All the officials and the security services called and said that China was a significant threat. That was sufficient to give to the CPS, not even by ministers but by officials. The question is: why wasn’t it? But the question I really wanted to ask today concerns this absurdity about the role, or lack of role, of the National Security Adviser. The government says he wasn’t involved in any matters of substance — but isn’t it the role of the National Security Adviser to be involved in all matters of substance when it comes to national security? So, what’s the point of a National Security Adviser who does not involve themselves in matters of national security, as in this case? Instead, we are meant to believe that the Deputy National Security Adviser is allowed, in this case, to involve themselves in substantial matters of national security, but not apparently discuss these substantial matters of national security with the National Security Adviser. This does seem to be an absolute matter of substantial absurdity.

This isn’t about fat shaming anyone, but an issue that needs to be addressed. Police and MNDF are responsible for protecting our nation from both internal and external threats. So they should be among the fittest individuals in the country. If these frontline services are struggling with health and fitness, it’s a reflection of a wider national problem. An unhealthy population places a significant financial strain on Aasandha. Much of this is preventable. That’s why we need to have a serious conversation about it. We need a national survey to understand why so many people are facing health and weight issues. Is it cause of our dietary habits, like having curry every day? Is it due to limited space for physical activity? Are high rise buildings discouraging people from going out once they’re home? Or is it something to do with the ingredients we commonly use? Is it the oil that STO is selling? What is it? A chronically unhealthy workforce weakens national productivity and security.

NIGERIA UPDATE: El-Rufai’s response to the statements by the National Security Adviser and the Kaduna State Government alleging the ‘Politicization of National Security’. - Part 3 of 3 As Governor of Kaduna State for eight years, we worked with two Ministers of Defence, one National Security Adviser, two Chiefs of Defence Staff, three Chiefs of Army Staff, two Chiefs of Naval Staff, two Chiefs of Air Staff, two Chiefs of Defence Intelligence, four Inspectors-General of Police, and three Directors-General of the State Security Service (DSS). This is aside from several General Officers Commanding, Air Officers Commanding, Commissioners of Police, State Directors of Security, and military commanders at state levels. Our appreciation for the sacrifices made and still being made by our military and security officers is deep. That is why we speak out about those saddled with immense responsibility two years ago who seem to view security management as a persistent exercise in propaganda and make-belief, and as cover for diverting public funds and abusing power with impunity. Neither the ONSA nor the Kaduna State Government can stop the exercise of constitutional rights to associate with others, have meetings, express opinions and alternatives to the fictitious narrative of officialdom. They are advised to concentrate their efforts on solving security issues, rather than seeing in the misery of affected citizens opportunities to claim false glories and divert and squander funds. Insecurity is the menace they ought to eliminate, not opposition voices and platforms. The repeated haranguing by the KDSG of some of its own officials and some security agencies for not disrupting visits and meetings in Kaduna by certain prominent persons is well-known. The thuggery unleashed against the ADC meeting of Saturday, 30 August 2025 shows that those harangued government officials and some officers of security agencies have succumbed to blandishments to sponsor and enable violence against those that legitimately oppose their government. Why is this not attracting the attention of the ONSA as a major security issue? Is it until it leads to anarchy due to total politicization of policing in the state?. National security is a very serious matter, critical to the peace and prosperity of the country, and the safety and wellbeing of citizens. It is unpatriotic to disguise incompetence in understanding it, much less managing it, as media stunts. When we talk about security, it’s not just about guns and bombs. True security is about people’s wellbeing — and under President Tinubu’s leadership, we’ve made real progress: subsidized dialysis treatments, free cesarean sections, and expanded access to education through the NELFUND student loan scheme. These are the true foundations of a secure and thriving nation. Nigeria remains a trusted partner of the United States, bound by shared values — fighting terrorism, taming corruption, strengthening democracy, and upholding the rule of law. What we seek is support, not boots on the ground as that would clearly infringe on our territorial integrity and sovereignty. Today I set out deep concerns about how the Government has handled decisions and communications surrounding the recent China spying case and the question of whether China poses a threat to the UK’s national security. The Government has made it difficult to obtain clear information about the timeline of meetings and the reasoning behind official statements. The Government’s approach has been evasive and inconsistent, with denials later giving way to partial admissions. This lack of transparency has eroded confidence and made it harder to get to the truth. At the heart of the issue is the role of the Deputy National Security Adviser (DNSA), who told Parliament that he was simply reflecting the Government’s position when asked whether China poses an active national security threat. I argued that this is not good enough. The question was a straightforward one, and the answer should have been equally straightforward: China does pose a threat to the UK’s national security across multiple fronts, from espionage and cyberattacks to sanctions and disinformation. I raised concerns about the meeting on 1 Sept, which appears to contradict earlier statements by the Prime Minister that no further evidence or discussions took place after that date. If such a meeting did occur with senior security officials present, the Government should release the minutes, at the very least to the Intelligence and Security Committee, to clarify what was discussed. I called for honesty and clarity in how the UK defines and responds to threats from China. Those of us who have been sanctioned and targeted by the Chinese state know first-hand how that threat manifests. The Government must stop obfuscating and start treating this issue with the seriousness it deserves: by acknowledging the reality of the threat, being transparent with Parliament and the public, and taking firm, decisive action to protect our national security.

Having the same community in a sensitive docket like Interior was the biggest blunder ever to happen to Kenya. Kenyans MUST be worried and really be concerned about the security of the country because the NIS Boss is in record to have said publicly that DANGEROUS CRIMINALS are in the country from the neighbouring countries like #Somalia #SouthSudan #Ethiopia and #Uganda. Why now and why is it happening ONLY under the current rogue regime? Why does this happen only when the CID and the NIS Bosses speak the same language and in fact the defence docket had Duale as well whom I believe still plays a role incognito under the lady in charge! Why did the President cancel the EXTRA VETTING of all entrants across the border? Are they being registered to stuff the ballots in 2027? Are we aware of the dangers of granting a criminal a nationality and to use them to legitimise a rogue regime? They will be weapons for hire who will commit crimes and cross the border to interfere with investigations. Hard times await Kenya and with an impending diplomatic row between Kenya and the US which has been playing a pivotal role in information and intelligence sharing, I guess the Country in totally headed to the valley of death. Telling the nation that there is huge infiltration of criminals in the country is deliberate and meant to inflict fear. What is ODM and Raila doing in the government if they can't even advise Ruto to kick Haji and Amin out of Office and replace them with competent Kenyans from different communities who can deal with insecurity with the deserving standards? This is very troubling statement because it comes from persons in charge of National Security. Is there disconnect between his Office and that of the the President? Who is "eating the monies meant for securing our borders"? When the NIS Boss says that as a country we need to decide whether we are serious and can provide the security that Kenyans deserve, alikuwa anaongelea nani?

Is the a Front for Al-Shabaab? The SSC-Khaatumo Youth Group sought new members in the United States to support the development of the Al-Shabaab-affiliated SSC-Khaatumo government of Somalia. This “Youth Group” states that it is dedicated to the development of the SSC-Khaatumo State in Somalia. That statement alone identifies the group as a foreign agent. This is especially concerning because portions of the SSC-Khaatumo military is led by Abdi Madobe, who is also an Al-Shabaab commander in the region. That is according to a UN Security Council report stating that Madobe commands 200 Al-Shabaab fighters in the SSC-Khaatumo region of Somalia. In this translated video from 2023, Madobe speaks to a formation of his fighters, congratulates them on their victory, and praises their martyrs, likely following an attack on Somaliland forces. Well done to SAPS for this bust, but it forces us to ask a critical question: where is our Police Intelligence Unit while this is happening?Illegal mining is no longer just a crime trend; it is a full-blown national security threat. When heavily armed foreign syndicates use our sacred burial grounds to stockpile weapons for targeted violence against our people, it crosses the line into outright terrorism. We cannot continue to ignore the volatile nature of the elements crossing our borders. Our sovereignty, our safety, and our lives are actively on the line.

If everything declassified about China's illegal interference in our election ends with nobody arrested and nobody in jail, we will know there is no justice in America, and that we are a conquered nation. This is why I keep saying America 250 is not a celebration. It is a funeral. I love this country, but we are severely compromised and infiltrated by our foreign adversaries, right down to our intel agencies and our own digital infrastructure. And look at the double standard. All you ever hear about is Israel, Mossad, and Netanyahu, while nobody wants to touch China, Qatar, or the IRGC. Israel did not create fake ballots in our election to steal the election from Donald Trump. China did. It is long past time to get serious about the CCP and treat its infiltration of our country as the national security emergency it is and always has been.

We are facing coordinated attacks by criminal gangs who are exploiting ungoverned spaces in the North West and North Central, but the government is not folding its arms. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered intensified operations in the affected corridors, including the deployment of special forces, expansion of intelligence networks, and disruption of the ransom economy that funds these groups. The military and security agencies are already carrying out targeted strikes on identified camps, rescue missions, and blocking movements along major forest routes. I made it clear that the President is fully engaged with state governors, service chiefs, and local security formations to close the security gaps and take back control of vulnerable communities. Nigeria is going through a difficult phase, but the government is responding with urgency, coordination, and a renewed determination to end these attacks and protect every Nigerian life.
