Security breaches like this expose the rot in DC’s bureaucratic machinery—careless handling of sensitive info while wasting billions on bloated agencies. The real issue? Accountability. If a journalist can stumble into classified chats, imagine how much taxpayer cash vanishes into the void daily. Time to slash the administrative state, redirect funds to actual defense priorities, and end the culture of incompetence. Every dollar wasted on lax protocols is a dollar stolen from securing the homeland.

He refers to Goldberg as a “deceitful and highly discredited, so-called journalist,” and then says he’d be delighted to talk about the campaign against Ansar Allah (the Houthis). Hegseth also claims that no war plans were shared in the Signal group chat; Goldberg reported that plans were shared in that chat.
