No, Melbourne police will pepper spray you and then smash you to the ground. Thats what they did to grannies during COVID. If they ask you to move on, I would do so, albeit under objection.

If they don’t know the rules they should be sacked it is definitely legal under Victorian law and Federation Square’s rules! The *Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006* (Vic), Section 15, guarantees freedom of expression, including holding a sign or talking to people who approach you, as long as it’s peaceful. The *City of Melbourne Activities Local Law 2019*, Clause 2.2, permits public activities unless they obstruct access—no permit needed for non-commercial expression per Clause 2.7. Federation Square’s management, under Fed Square Pty Ltd, allows spontaneous activities without booking if they don’t disrupt operations (Fed Square Event Guidelines, 2023). Police powers under the *Summary Offences Act 1966* (Vic), Section 6, only apply if you breach the peace—casual sign-holding or voluntary chats don’t qualify. Keep signs handheld (no fixtures) and avoid blocking paths (*Melbourne Planning Scheme*, Clause 52.05). Victoria Police must respect your rights unless you’re disorderly. On March 29, 2025, this low-key activity needs no approval—just stay respectful and mobile, and you’re within the law!

Police in Brisbane have used force to remove me from a public street, but declined to press charges. I don’t think they want an international incident on their hands. This all happened because a bylaw officer lied and said I was obstructing people’s movement in a public square. All I did, as usual for the past 4.5 years, was stand quietly by myself in the corner of the square, having conversations only with those who approach me. He told me to move and I refused because I know my rights. I’m on a public street and I can have conversations. He then issued me an $806 fine. I gladly accepted it. He ordered me to move again. I again declined. Then the police came. They debated for about 45 minutes what to do with me, before eventually saying I would be arrested and charged if I refused to move. I could not agree to their terms with a clear conscience. I refuse to accept zealous abuse of power by those in authority, simply because I’m peacefully spreading a true message that vulnerable children are being maimed, sterilized, and turned into lifelong pharmaceutical patients. I opted not to violate my integrity, so they physically removed me. I believe they know what they’re doing is wrong, which is why they then opted not to formally arrest and charge me. Marcy Rheintgen, a man pretending to be a woman, declared “I am here to break the law” and entered the women’s restroom in the FL Capitol. He was asked to leave and refused. He was then arrested for breaking Florida law. He says it’s “crazy” to put men in men’s prisons and he shouldn’t have to be in prison with “tough men.” Maybe he should’ve thought about that before intentionally breaking the law.
