International law applies to everyone. Justin Trudeau and Pierre Poilievre don't get to pick and choose when they support the ICC. Yet, both are refusing to support the independence of the Court and its investigations. Every day more innocent people are being killed. They deserve justice. All people, without exception, deserve justice. New Democrats support the rule of law and the work of the ICC - including any and all arrest warrants that may be issued. Palestinians and Israelis deserve peace, justice, and accountability.

It baffles me that Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists were arrested while returning from Hajj. These are men known for shedding innocent blood, kidnapping innocent people for ransom and terrorizing entire communities, yet they confidently traveled to Hajj. The same land regarded as holy was visited by people whose lives have been defined by violence, bloodshed and the suffering of innocent victims. It leaves one wondering whether they went there to appreciate Allah for their successful kidnapping and killing operations, to seek repentance for their crimes or whether this is somehow consistent with their own twisted doctrine and interpretation of Islamic practices. Whatever the case may be, It is both shocking and difficult to comprehend.

I am mostly afraid of the fraction of the people of my own shiite sect who are still supporting Hezbollah and are openly announcing readiness to sacrifice their houses, kids and lives for this tre@sonous agenda despite being displaced.
