The reason for the raid is still unknown, as some officers have reportedly attempted to break into Kyagulanyi's room. UPDATE: National Unity Platform (NUP) principal, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, who is currently in hiding after he escaped from his home following a January 16 night raid by the military, says a group of masked, armed soldiers on Friday night (January 23, 2026) broke into his house and beat up his family members. "They have currently isolated my wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi, alone. Their intentions are unclear!" he said in a post on X.
