My theory on "non-binary" identities: Some women have extremely low self-esteem, which leads to them being uncomfortable with the idea of femininity. And after all, if women are supposed to be feminine beautiful, but they're not feminine & don't *feel* beautiful, they must not be women. So they reject womanhood in favor of a more neutral label. "Non-binary." Now they don't have to deal with the associations or expectations of being a woman OR a man. As someone who has struggled with self-esteem and body image, I understand the thought process and inclinations. However, being a woman or man isn't something you feel or perform. It's just what you are. Putting on a suit doesn't make you a different gender. I feel for people like Bella Ramsey, but the truth is young women not being comfortable in their own skin is nothing new or revolutionary.

Something these alt-aesthetic girls have to realize is if you look like that and date among people who look like that… there’s way higher rates of mental illness and substance abuse and other issues going on there. Nobody deserves to be mistreated, but people who run in alt circles are not exactly known for being sterling virtuous well put together people. Not saying all alt people are bad, or people who are clean cut are all good. Don’t be surprised when your druggie emo boyfriend is a POS. But pattern recognition is real. If you deliberately immerse yourself in subcultures that romanticize chaos, trauma, drug use, and emotional instability, your dating pool will reflect that. If you run in scenes where substance abuse is common, mental health issues are untreated, and “damaged” is aestheticized, you shouldn’t be shocked when your relationships are volatile.

These do not factor how common a disease is (prevalence) Positive Predictive Value (probability a positive test reflects having a disease) factors in prevalence and is actually more important to clinicians than sens/spec. It is harder to figure out though because we need to have a gestault for how prevalent a disease is for the EXACT patient we are seeing. If you have very low prevalence, even with a great test, most positives are false positives. One thing you notice about online content from Latin America is that they love to roast each other for not being white Argentine content does this a lot But you also see similar videos or memes put out from Mexicans, Peruvians or Bolivians in this case "Haha Peruvians ain't as white as us Bolivians" Anyone who has been to Bolivia knows that's not true lol But this type of humor really aligns well with how the locals treat each other in real life based on skin color And also how Latin American humor can be less PC
