The only way the Water ways in Rivers State or even Akwa Ibom will be attractive is if Sea Piracy is eliminated. Kidnappers are having a field day on the Waters of Rivers,Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa.

I still remember this place When i was about 11 years, every December we use to pass this place to my home town opobo.. this place use to be like mile 1 flyover during festive period.. Now we have road to opobo 😊

Rivers state is so blessed. Hope the govt or private folks can invest there and change the story. I love to see Water side anywhere.

There are a lot of places that’s looks like this in Rivers State F.S Okrika LGA there a place between Ogan and Abam it’s called sand fill- its good place for tourism and site seeing “I don’t know why Rivers State government are not looking at those places

People can now drive to Opobo, why should they keep using old speedboats without life jackets and pirates in the middle of the creeks?

This is simply one of the fallouts of development,something's must change. There was a time when people were being kidnapped on their way to Opobo,the provision of alternatives have put an end to that. Turning it into a tourist/leisure spot should be privately driven 🙏
