Seedance 2.0 4K is finally here. Just finished testing it and these are my first impressions 👀 The jump in image quality is immediately noticeable, but there are still a few things creators should know before switching. Here's what I found:

4k looks great but for most it will be unaffordable in a workflow. I am working with 720p with some upscaling and it looks fine. I just use that because of Runway unlimited that's the only affordable way to create longer clips until it ends in september.

Every AI project went up triple the budget. 😆 Of course it's optional, but man! Seedance 720p was high, then 1080p went even higher in price, now it's getting serious in terms of expending. I'm betting longer videos will make Seedance 2.0 so expensive, only studios will afford it. 😬

How much of an increase in credits does it cost over 1080p etc

I see it now 30 Seconds, 50 references oh 2.5 the question is how expensive & does ut 480p, 520p, 720p, & a sweet spot they are not taking advantage of is 1440p which would be even easier to Upres to 4k. Man SeedDance hitting 30 seconds has raised the stakes, everyone coming

Thank you. Overall assessment is good, but I don't really see how. Calling the cyber scene. To where it has not enough data. There is so much data out there with literally artificial cyber scenes because that's what they are. But there is tons of data on neon lights and dynamics of how lights work in. Sceneries. In night or wet weather, whatever have you, there's so much of that. But the fact that it is futuristic or artificial because we're not in the future where things look exactly like that, where there's glowing neon lights and paint on human beings and half Cyborg people. We obviously see that as a slightly plastic or fabricated world. Versus the one that's in nature is completely in nature and realistic because that is what it is. That's what we're surrounded by. That's what feels natural. Anyway, that's my take. And again, even the knights and the kingdom, we don't have footage from back then. But we have millions of movies and books and illustrations and. Lots of Photoshop work and all kinds of recreations of those scenes. But I actually also believe that there is just the elements in the scenes. The armor, the chainmail, the horses, the castles, all the elements are studied in individual ways. I just don't really see it the same way you do.

What they should work on is audio quality. Voices (especially female) still sound metallic and super compressed. Like 16kbps audio. It’s not only Seedance, it’s all models. A shame, because video quality is now amazing, but audio is still lackluster and a dead giveaway it’s AI.

I'm gonna have to hard pass for now, I think. 1080p is already rich enough for my blood, and an upscale in Topaz to 4K is quite adequate.

4K AI video is cool, consistency still the real battleground.
